Aurimas signs the scores off. He decides what each of the four columns is worth, writes the verdict at the top of a review, and no number on this site moves until somebody has argued him out of the old one.

Before this site

Six years moderating a skin-trading community of about forty thousand members — arbitrating deals that had gone wrong, and keeping the public list of places that had stopped paying out. That list is where the reflex comes from: read a terms page the way the operator's lawyer wrote it, looking for the clause that lets them keep a balance, before reading the landing page that sells the site.

What he checks

Who owns a platform and under whose licence, if any; the rating method itself; the rake and house-edge figures behind each mode; and the archive of sites that went quiet. Blocked-country lists are his too — a platform that will not pay out where a reader lives is not a good platform for that reader, whatever its rake says.

The line he holds: a claim that cannot be traced to the operator's own pages, or reproduced in a test, stays out of the review — however well it would fill a table.
