The mechanics

• Silence. Drawbacks stay in the con list. Not one operator has had a drawback removed, and asking reliably lowers a trust score.

Saying the awkward part out loud

Revenue rises when readers deposit. That is a genuine conflict of interest and pretending otherwise would be worse than disclosing it. The counterweights are a method anyone can check and a drawbacks list that never gets softened — and sites running no affiliate programme at all are reviewed and ranked on exactly the same basis as the ones that pay.
